A Texas Fall

My mom recently spent a week and a half with us, and we so enjoyed her visit! We unfortunately do not live in the same city. We're in DFW and they're 5 hours away. Anyone else have this problem?? No bueno! So, when my mom comes into town we love it! Not only do we love spending time with her, but I love how helpful she is. She'll cook, help clean {she even did my husband's laundry}, and babysit Caleb so the hubs and I can have a date. She's the best house guest ever!! {Bryan said he wishes she lived closer...I do too, but it's for a different reason}

Since my mom was in town we decided to take Caleb to his first pumpkin patch. If you live in the DFW area, I highly recommend the Original Flower Mound pumpkin patch. It was only $5 for parking and all activities were free {food/gifts/pumpkins all had a charge}.

My mother-in-law, sister-in-law, and niece met us at the pumpkin patch, and it was nice to share Caleb's 1st patch experience with the family.

The weather was a bit warm, but that's Texas for you. Completely unpredictable weather {considering the previous weekend was freezing...ok 50 degrees, but that's darn cold}.

We had a great time and purchased a couple of small pumpkins for our little man! I'm glad my mom was in town to share this fun with us!!!

    I am fortunate enough where my mom just lives a couple miles down the road. I'm glad you enjoyed time with your mom!

    1. Thanks Kendall!! You are one lucky girl to have your mom close by! Give your mom a hug and tell her you're glad she lives close ;-)

  2. I had a great time with the Knox kids. I thank GOD that my son-in-law Bryan loves me and appreciates spending time with me. It is the greatest gift my children can give me - appreciation. I will gladly visit the Knox kids as often as possible and will stay with them for as long as they would have me. Pray for good health now & future, so I can enjoy times like this, not only with the Knox kids but as well as the other 3 kids and their future families.

  4. Thanks so much for the heads up about the Original Flower Mound Pumpkin patch. We recently moved to DFW area and I really haven't figured out where are the "good little places" are yet.

    Thanks also for stopping by my blog.
