Last month I was paired with the lovely Kelly from The Houtz House Party for the Scarf and Scripture Swap. I already had a bloggy crush on her before the swap, and now I consider us friends!!!
Kelly's favorite scripture is Romans 12:2
"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."
BEAUTIFUL! Love how Paul says the will of God is good, acceptable, and perfect! Our Bible Study just started reading Romans, so I'll be thinking of Kelly this month! Perfect timing!
And this is the awesome scarf Kelly sent me:
It's perrrrfffeecctt! I can't wait for the temperature to cool off in Texas so I can wear it!!
I got Kelly a big scarf so she can turn it into a vest. Say what?! You heard read correctly! My fabulous-fashion-trendy friend Whitney showed me a scarf secret, and I'm dying to share the details:
Step #1 buy a big, long scarf and hold it horizontally
Step #2 fold it in half horizontally
Step #3 take the two top ends from step #2's fold and bring together
Step #4 tie the two ends together
Step #5 double knot tie
Step #6 spread the scarf open from the top {above the knot} your arms go into the holes
TaDa!! It's a scarf vest! Isn't Whitney Ah-Mazing!! She's Anthropologie's Visual Design Manager, so enough said! I've been BEGGING her to start a fashion blog for more tips, so if you agree leave a comment and maybe we can convince Miss Whit together!
No need to ruin a good scarf...just tie a knot and go! Saweet! {I found this great cheetah scarf at Forever 21 for $9! Score!}
...Just keeping it real with the little man in the back...
That's all I got! Tell Whit to start a fashion blog ASAP!
If you participated in the Scarf and Scripture Swap, link up your swap post below. Check out the other links and hopefully their favorite verses will encourage you to continue to pursue God's heart this fall!!
Miss Whit needs to be my indoor house color paint coordinator, my fashion consultant, my decorator. I think Miss Whit needs a blog or join in with you at least and share lots of tips for Non-Creative creatures like me. :)
