In college I pledged Chi Omega. {in the south, sororities are a BIG deal...as big as Texas} One of the symbols for ChiO is an owl, so we would come up with cute "sayings" with owl themes. During meeting, or in our monthly newsletter, we would have a "Happy Hoot" section. A Happy Hoot, is a shout-out of something good that has happened, or something you like. {now you understand where my owl-obsession comes from!}
Well folks, I have a Happy Hoot! The lovely Bri from Emerson Grey Designs was awarded the Liebster Award for her blog, {meaning "darling" and all other interpretations} This award is a
pay-it-forward kind of award. Once you get "handed" one, you then get
to pick 5 of your favorite blogs to give it to. The rules are that the
blogs you want to give this honor to must have under 200 or so
followers. {We all cheat a little at this rule} And you must
mention the blogger who awarded you with this honor.
Thanks Bri for passing this award along, and giving me a Happy Hoot to share! Bri even said that she likes my nursery! That was such a complement since Bri specializes in nursery and children designs!! {makes me smile!}
So, these are the lovely blogs I'd like to pass along this Hoot of an award to:{are you getting tired of the owl lingo?}
1. Check out Kelly at The Houtz House Party! I recently started following Kelly and I think she's fantastic! I love seeing what her and her precious family are up to.
2. I've been following Jill from I Know The Plans I Have For You, and I love her blog so much! You should stop by and follow her too!
3. I started following this blog because of the awesome name, and love Kimberly's crafts and projects! A Night Owl Blog is sure to inspire you!
4. I found this blog through Project Nursery recently. I voted for her "Monster of a 1st Birthday" for party of the month! AND, her sweet nursery had owls in it...so I love it of course! Go check out Megan at The Homes I Have Made and all of her cool ideas!
5. Aleks from Aleks Handmade is another awesome girl! Right now she is having a wedding series, and guest bloggers are posting about how they met and got hitched, and I've enjoyed reading all the bloggers' love stories! Such a great idea!
Well, that's my Happy Hoot for the week! Enjoy the weekend, check out those blogs, and have a hoot of a time! {ok, I'll stop now!} =)
Found your blog on Kellys Korner! I'm from a small town about 3 hours of Dallas. I visit the area frequent though. Cute blog :)
