Oh DEER, Caleb is 1!

Caleb turned 1 on November 10th, and since his birthday fell on a Saturday, we threw a little party with family and close friends. My sweet hubby is an avid huntsman, and I chose CK's party theme in honor of him. {no animals were harmed in the process}

Here's a peek into the party...

I made every single decoration with my handy-dandy Silhouette machine, and it saved me a ton of cash! I spent under $40 for all the decor. Holla!

On Caleb's Menu:
  • Oreo and Vanilla Cupcakes
  • "Catch of the Day"-blue jello and swedish fish
  • "Mini Trail Mix"-cheerios, goldfish, and yogurt melts {served in glass babyfood jars}
  • Burgers {and all the fixings}
  • Chicken Nuggets for the little nuggets
  • Chips and "C'mere Deer Dip" {aka "addictive corn & salsa dip}

 My father-in-law is a sweet man and puts up with my demands! He lovingly cut 2" slices of wood for my displays...all 16 of them! Thanks Mike!!!

The 2 outdoor dinner tables were decorated with wild flowers, recycled cans/jars, and wood.

 All the littles received deer antlers and fish t-shirts as goodies! {yep, I made the shirts with my handy-dandy Silhouette!}

 I displayed the shirts wrapped on a styrofoam plate that I got for free from my grocery store's meat section. Thanks Krogers!

Hubby slaved away at the Burger Bar for most of the afternoon.

I think Caleb enjoyed his party...

 My mom and sister are the BEST people ever! They graciously helped me set everything up, and with the windy-hot-very uncooperative weather, it was a challenge to get everything set up! THANK YOU!!

And Caleb's FIRST time to have sugar!!! He liked it!

So thankful that God has blessed us with Caleb! We love you foxy man, and happy 1st birthday!!!
